eating out in Eynsham

restaurants, cafes, pub-food, take-aways - and buying local food

As well as eating places, there are plenty of food shops and a high quality cookshop. There's also a village-centre car-park (though perversely, you have to drive out of the village to get to it - and then walk 100 yds back along a path).
The Red Lion
The Emporium cafe
The Queens Head
restaurants
The Bayleaf, 4 Lombard Street, 884 401 & 402
One of the best Indian restaurants in Oxfordshire - especially good fish and prawn dishes - best book for week-end evenings

The Newlands Inn, Newland Street 881 486
Good regular pub food

The Boot Inn, Barnard Gate 881 231
A mile or two out of downtown Eynsham (west along the A40), but well worth the trip (there's a cycle track all the way if you want to drink but not drive) - very good food, and correspondingly pricey

Kardamon Lounge, Newland Street 881 384, e-mail
Another excellent Indian restaurant.

Ready, Steady, Spice - another Indian restaurant (primarily a take-away), 35a Newland Street 883 993
